KStars is shipped with most Linux distributions. If you want to use the recommended latest version of KStars/Ekos, please follow the instructions below under Ubuntu 16.04 or higher:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kstars-bleeding indi-full

If you are using a DSLR camera and want to use the latest libgphoto2 library that includes support for Sony/Pentax cameras, please install the latest:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/libgphoto2
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libgphoto2
